My
Story

Ok, here I go...

My name is Bobbie, nice to meet ya!

I am happily married to my best friend, and have loved every adventure we have been on together! We have one really cool kid that loves all things Lego, his guitar & is slightly obsessed with chicken nuggets, still. We love our little fur-baby and we are all equally guilty of spoiling her completely rotten. We love riding the quads and exploring Rim Country. Oh, and if it has jalapenos in it, you can bet we'll eat it!

I have lived in Payson, Arizona all my life. It's my home, and I love it! My parents and my husbands parents live here and we wouldn't want it any other way! Being with family is what makes me the happiest, and every chance we get, we spend as much time as possible with them. We've even taken cross-country trips together! (Best vacations ever!!)

Now, a little bit about my work...
I started my photography journey pretty young, somewhere in elementary school is when the obsession began. Black and white images always caught my eye, and they still stop me in my tracks to this day. I could stare at a good black and white photo for the longest - just looking at the details, and imagining the story it was trying to tell me. My biggest inspirations came from photojournalists, and artists like Vivian Maier, Dorthea Lange and Ansel Adams.

In high school I studied black and white film photography and started experimenting, and recruiting friends and family to pose for me at every opportunity possible!

I have been photographing families all over Arizona now for over 15 years! I can truly say, I absolutely love it!

Mine is a family run business, and that means you will often see my husband or my son on the shoot with me. While I don't document weddings anymore, when I did, my husband was my go-to assistant. Recently our son has started to shadow me on smaller sessions, and has blossomed into a pretty good artist himself!

Taking pictures isn't just about the business for me, I try to pull out your emotions and generate genuine reactions to showcase your unique story. These are moments and days we can never get back. That's why a professional photographer is so important, I'm documenting your story, your family, your memories. It's a privilege to be a part of that, and I do my best to make the experience fun, relaxed and natural! When I do studio work it is all about creativity, telling a novel size story in a single image!

So, what do you think? Want to learn more? Contact me today, I look forward to meeting you!
